“اللهم إني أسألك موجبات رحمتك، وعزائم مغفرتك، والسلامة من كل إثم، والغنيمة من كل بر، والفوز بالجنة، والنجاة من النار”
Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
One of the supplications of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was: “Allahumma inni as’aluka mujibati rahmatika, wa ‘aza’ima maghfiratika, was-salamata min kulli ithmin, wal-ghanimata min kulli birrin, wal-fawza bil- jannati, wannajata minan-nar”
[Al-Hakim].

Salam Sir,I have been working in the civil service for 18 years now.I found out that I have nothing to show for it.Just been working while my colleagues have built houses and brought cars.
I just don’t know what s wrong with me.I tried to do business with it still not making been able to make ends meet.Please sir what can I do to elevate myself from this hardship because its affecting my family.

1- ”Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and (He is) the Best Disposer of affairs. “
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Hasbunal-laahu wani’mal-Wakeel
Surah Al-Imran ,verse 173
2-“O Ever Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy, I call on You to set right all my affairs.
Do not place me in charge of my soul even for the blinking of an eye (i.e. a moment)”
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoomu birahmatika ‘astagheethu ‘aslih lee sha’nee kullahu wa laa takilnee ‘ilaa nafsee tarfata ‘aynin.
Its chain of transmission is sound (Sahih), Al-Hakim 1/545, see Albani
3-“O Allah, there is no ease other than what You make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.”
للّهُـمَّ لا سَـهْلَ إِلاّ ما جَعَلـتَهُ سَهـلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْـعَلُ الْحَـزَنَ إِذا شِـئْتَ سَهـْلاً
Allaahumma laa sahla ‘illaa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa ‘Anta taj’alul-hazna ‘ithaa shi’ta sahlan
4- “O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.”
اللّهُـمَّ اكْفِـني بِحَلالِـكَ عَنْ حَـرامِـك، وَأَغْنِـني بِفَضْـلِكِ عَمَّـنْ سِـواك
Allaahummak-finee bihalaalika ‘an haraamika wa ‘aghninee bifadhlika ‘amman siwaaka
5- “My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You would send down to me”
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Rabbi innee limaa anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer
Surah Al-Qasas ,verse 24

Walikum salam, you can make dua in English but making dua in Arabic is preferred. That’s why we have given the English transliteration with all the duas for the non-Arabic readers. Try reading it from there.

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka khashyataka fil-ghaybi wash-shahaadati,
wa ‘as’aluka kalimatal-haqqi fir-ridhaa walghadhabi,
