  • Dua to seek MERCY and FORGIVENESS of your sins

    “O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and no one forgives sins but You. So, grant me forgiveness and have mercy on me. Surely, you are Forgiving, Merciful”

    اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْماً كَثِيراً، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ


    Allaahumma ‘innee dhalamtu nafsee dhulman katheeran, wa laa yaghfiruth-thunooba ‘illaa ‘Anta, faghfir lee maghfiratan min ‘indika warhamnee ‘innaka ‘Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem.

  • Dua for someone who tells you I love you for the sake of Allah

    When someone tells you he/she loves you for the sake of Allah, you should respond with the following dua.

    “May He for Whose sake you love me, love you”

    أَحَبَّـكَ الّذي أَحْبَبْـتَني لَه


    ‘Ahabbakal-lathee ‘ahbabtanee lahu

    Reference: Abu Dawud 4/333. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Abu Dawud 3/965.

  • Dua to stay protected from Accidents and illness

    ”I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah, from the evil of what He has created”

    أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
    A’oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaq

    (Recite three times in Arabic in the morning and evening)

    Whoever recites this three times in the evening will be protected from insect stings.

    Ahmad 2/ 290, An-Nasa’i, ‘Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah no. 590, At-Tirmidhi 3/187, Ibn As-Sunni no. 68. According to Al-Albani, Ibn Majah’s (2/266) chain of transmission is sound (Sahih), and following Ibn Baz 45, At-Tirmidhi’s report is good (Hasan).

  • Dua for Good Health

    This is a very effective dua for the CURE of all types of diseases.

    “O Allah! Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind! heal this ailment and You are the One Who heals. There is no healing except Yours,
    [Cure]with a healing which does not leave any disease behind”

    Allaahumma Az hibil ba’sa rabban-naasi ishfihi wa antash-shaafi laa shifaa aa illaa shifaaooka shifaaoon la yughaadiru saqamaa

    “O Allah, separate me from my sins as You have separated the East from the West.

    O Allah, cleanse me of my transgressions as the white garment is cleansed of stains.

    O Allah, wash away my sins with ice and water and frost”

    اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ، اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ، كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَ بْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالثَّلْجِ وّالْمَاءِ وَالْبَرَدِ

    Allaahumma baa’id baynee wa bayna khataayaaya kamaa baa’adta baynal-mashriqi walmaghribi,

    Allaahumma naqqinee min khataayaaya kamaa yunaqqath-thawbul-‘abyadhu minad-danasi,

    Allaahum-maghsilnee min khataayaaya, bith-thalji walmaa’i walbarad.

    “O Allah, I ask You for KNOWLEDGE that is of benefit, a good PROVISION, and DEEDS that will be accepted”

    اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً، وَرِزقاً طَيِّباً، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

    Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.

    AllaahummaاللَّهُمَّO Allah,
    ‘innee ‘as’aluka إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ indeed I ask You for
    ‘ilman عِلْماً KNOWLEDGE
    naafi’an, نَافِعاً،that is of benefit,
    wa rizqan وَرِزقاً a PROVISION,
    tayyiban, طَيِّباً، good
    wa ‘amalan وَعَمَلاً and DEEDS
    mutaqabbalanمُتَقَبَّلاً that will be accepted
