Abu Dawood narrated by ZAID (Radi Allahu anhu)
Prophet MOHAMMAD (Peace be upon him) said ”Whoever seeks forgiveness with these words , his sins are erased even if they are equal to the foam of the sea.”
”Oh Allah, we seek Your HELP and Your FORGIVENESS and we believe in You and RELY on You and praise You for all the good things and are GRATEFUL to You and we do not deny You and we alienate and forsake him who disobeys You. O Allah! You alone do we worship and to You we pray and prostrate and to You we hasten to worship and to serve and we hope for Your MERCY and we fear Your punishment. Surely, Your punishment is going to overtake infidels.”
”O Allah, Surely we seek refuge in You against the hardship of turmoils and attacks of misfortunes and evil destiny and from the mockery of (triumphant) enemies”
Abu Huraira (Radi Allahu anhu)reported that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) used to seek refuge (in Allah) from the evil of destiny and from falling into the hand of calamity and from the mockery of (triumphant) enemies and from the hardship of misery.
Abu Sufyan reported: I am in doubt that I have made an addition of one word in this supplication. (Book #035, Hadith #6540)
Whoever recites this with conviction in the evening and dies during that night shall enter Paradise, and whoever recites it with conviction in the morning and dies during that day shall enter Paradise.
Al-Bukhari 7/150. Other reports are in An-Nasa’i and At-Tirmidhi.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.
”O Allah! I ask You for Your Love and the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family and the cold water”
Abud-Darda’ (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, “One of Prophet Dawud’s supplications was:
Allaahumma inni as’aluka hubbaka, wa hubba man yuhibbuka, wal-‘amalalladhi yuballighuni hubbaka. Allaahumm-aj’al hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi, wa ahli, wa minal-maa’il-baarid
O Allah, I seek refuge with Your Pleasure from Your anger. I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot count Your praises, You are as You have praised Yourself.
Our Lord, grant us the good things in this world and the good things in the next life and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Rabbanaa ‘aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan wa fil-‘aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa ‘athaaban-naar
Abu Dawud 2/179, Ahmad 3/411, Al-Baghawi, Sharhus-Sunnah 7/128. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Abu Dawud 1/354. The Ayat is from Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:201.
I am here at Your service, O Allah, I am here at Your service. I am here at Your service, You have no partner, I am here at Your service. Surely the praise, and blessings are Yours, and the dominion. You have no partner.
O Allah, Your male slave and the child of Your female slave is in need of Your mercy, and You are not in need of his torment. If he was pious then increase his rewards and if he was a transgressor then pardon him.
