Here is a dua for safety and protection from Shirk (polytheism)
“My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols”
رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَٰذَا الْبَلَدَ آمِنًا وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ
Rabbi ij’al haathal-balada aaminan wajnubnee wabaniyya an na’budal-asnaam
Surah Ibrahim ,verse 35

This is Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalaam’s supplication to Allah when He brought Isma`il Alaihissalaam to Makkah.
Word-by-word Meanings:
Transliteration Arabic Translation Rabbi رَبِّ My Lord ij’al اجْعَلْ Make haatha هَٰذَا this al-balada الْبَلَدَ city aaminan آمِنًا secure wajnubnee وَاجْنُبْنِي and keep me away wabaniyya وَبَنِيَّ and my sons an أَن that na’buda نَّعْبُدَ we worship al-asnaam الْأَصْنَامَ the idols Allah mentions here, while bringing forth more evidences against Arab polytheists, that the Sacred House in Makkah was established on the worship of Allah alone, without partners. He also states that Ibrahim Alaihissalaam, who establsihed the city, had disowned those who worship others besides Allah, and that he begged Allah to make Makkah peaceful and secure.
(O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) of peace and security,) and Allah accepted his supplication.
Allah said in other Ayat,
(Have they not seen that We have made (Makkah) a secure sanctuary.) 29:67 and,
(Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Makkah, full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-‘Alamin. In it are manifest signs, the Maqam of Ibrahim; whosoever enters it, he attains security.) 3:96
Ibrahim Alaihissalaam then said,
(and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.) It is proper for whoever supplicates to Allah to also ask for the benefit of his parents and offspring, as well as himself.

Surah Al-‘A`rāf, Verse 126

Word-by-word Meanings:
Transliteration Arabic Translation Rabbanaa رَبَّنَا Our Lord afrigh أَفْرِغْ Pour ‘alaynaa عَلَيْنَا upon us sabran صَبْرًا patience watawaffanaa وَتَوَفَّنَا and cause us to die muslimeen مُسْلِمِينَ (as) Muslims As soon as Musa Alaihissalaam came from Madyan, he called Fir`awn to Allah and demonstrated tremendous miracles and clear proofs for the Truth that he brought.
Fir`awn then sent emissaries to various cities of his kingdom and collected magicians who were scattered throughout Egypt. Fir`awn and his people chose from them, summoned them, and Fir`awn promised them great rewards. These magicians were very eager to prevail over Musa Alaihissalaam in front of Fir`awn, so that they might become closer to him. Musa Alaihissalaam neither knew any of them nor saw or met them before.
“Musa Alaihissalaam met the leader of the magicians and said to him, `If I defeat you, will you believe in me and bear witness that what I brought is the truth’
The magician said, `Tomorrow, I will produce a type of magic that cannot be defeated by another magic. By Allah! If you defeat me, I will believe in you and testify to your truth.’
After witnessing the signs of Allah,they fell in prostration.
Pharoah threatened them by saying:
(123. Fir`awn said: “You have believed in him (Musa Alaihissalaam) before I gave you permission. Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know.”) (124. “Surely, I will cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides, then I will crucify you all.”)
but they said, `We are now sure that we will go back to Allah. Certainly, Allah’s punishment is more severe than your punishment and His torment for what you are calling us to, this day, and the magic you forced us to practice, is greater than your torment. Therefore, we will observe patience in the face of your punishment today, so that we are saved from Allah’s torment.’
Then they made this supplication
(“Our Lord! pour out on us patience”), with your religion and being firm in it,
(“and cause us to die as Muslims.”)

Allahumma mussarifal-qulubi, sarrif qulubana ‘ala ta’atik

Dua for forgiveness and PROTECTION from SHIRK [Polytheism]
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I associate anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I know not”
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika ‘an ‘ushrika bika wa ‘anaa ‘a’lamu, wa ‘astaghfiruka limaa laa ‘a’lamu.
